His wife is an actress, and their two children are named Radhya and Miraya. She wrote a book in 2020 called Amma Mia: Stories, Advice, and Recipes from One Mother to Another. Because he felt “neglected” after the birth of their second daughter, she wrote in her parenting book that she saw Bharat being “cranky and irritated” with her.

She wrote in her book, “For a short time after having my second child, I noticed that Bharat was grumpy and annoyed with me.”

He thought I wasn’t paying enough attention to him. Being this way as a husband is only normal. At that time, I was busy with Radhya’s playschool problems, feeding Miraya, writing my book, and going to meetings for my production. So, he felt ignored. And I immediately noticed the mistake of my ways.

I remembered the times when Bharat had asked me for a new toothbrush, and it had slipped my mind, or when his shirts hadn’t been pressed or when I sent him off to work without stopping to check what he’d been given for lunch.”

“He’s a man of very few needs, and if I couldn’t look after him, there was something wrong. I quickly made sure to fix it. Bharat is different; he tells me directly, to my face, if he feels a problem. But there may be guys who are not so forthcoming. It falls on you to keep the romance going. I figured that I hadn’t gone out for date nights or a movie with him in a while. So I chose to step out of my tracks, loosen my bun, wear a nice dress and go out with him on the weekends”, the Dhoom actress further added.

Esha and Bharat, meanwhile, announced in a joint statement to the Delhi Times that they had decided to split ways “mutually and amicably.” The wellbeing and best interests of our two children are and will always be our top priorities while we go through this transition in our lives. We would be grateful if our privacy were respected.”
